What is stress?

Stress is a natural part of life. It is the body’s way of responding to pressure and challenges, and in its basic form, stress can be a driving force that helps us perform at our best. However, we distinguish between positive and negative stress.

  • Positive stress:
Occurs when we experience a brief period of high pressure but still feel in control. It can give us the energy to complete a task, overcome a challenge, or perform better.
  • Negative stress:
This occurs when the pressure becomes too great and prolonged, without us feeling that we have control over the situation. In this state, the body releases stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline, which can have harmful effects on both the body and the mind over time.

Why do we experience stress?

Stress is a survival mechanism we’ve had since prehistoric times. Back then, the stress response was crucial for escaping predators or finding food. The body still reacts the same way today, but the stressors have changed. Instead of physical threats, it is now deadlines, work pressure, interpersonal conflicts, and expectations from ourselves and those around us that trigger the stress response.

That's what our clients say...

Carina demonstrates an invaluable ability to listen and create space for reflection and development.

For me, it has been crucial to feel welcomed and understood, which Carina manages with great awareness and care.

Through Carina's psychotherapeutic skills, I have gained new tools that have helped me find my inner strength and rebuild my belief in myself.

Her empathy and many human qualities have made her a particularly valuable support in my development process.

Laura

Psychology student

I have been seeing Carina for several years and have found her invaluable in helping me navigate through difficult times in my life. Through conversation, hypnotherapy, healing and her many exciting methods, I have experienced how she has opened up deeper layers in both my mind and body.

Every time I have visited Carina, she has gently guided me to work with the most vulnerable and sad places in me.

She has helped me to feel myself and process the difficult experiences I have carried with me - something I didn't think was possible in the same way before my time with her.

Carina is an incredibly likeable person who combines a deeply professional approach with a heart-warming empathy and empathy. She makes you feel not just like a client, but like the unique person you are.

I highly recommend Carina to anyone looking for a therapist with both professional expertise and a big heart.

I've heard myself say my values in relation to my working life out loud many times. And for a long time, I've been confident in prioritizing them. But then... something happened. During the values session with Carina, I was challenged to make a rather sharp prioritization of my values - the values I was convinced I knew inside and out.

It was... not just surprising, but surprisingly meaningful to suddenly see my own (new) priorities as a result of Carina's method and approach - and especially to feel that something fell into place inside. For the first time, I'm ready to go out and articulate what I'm looking for in my working life, because I know what - when the last bastion remains - is most important to me.

I can definitely recommend the method Carina uses for value clarification. I chose Carina to make my values clarification very broad, but with a focus on my working life.

I have 35 years of experience in the labor market, so I didn't expect any big surprises. I was wrong... A big thank you to you, Carina, for shifting my foundation stones after your value clarification. It will affect my working life in the future in a good way.

A values clarification is a great start to improving or changing important areas of your life - focusing on the area of your choice.

Claus Green
Quality and Development Manager, Metalwo A/S

I can highly recommend Carina and have benefited from her skills in connection with a value clarification.

This was a very positive experience where I experienced a free space with myself in the center, something that in a busy everyday life is often downgraded and in addition, it was a super healthy exercise to calibrate my own compass for both my private and professional life, something that I can highly recommend regardless of job or title.

So if the compass needs recalibrating, Carina will get me on the phone.

Highest recommendations.

I find it hard to put into words, but I feel different now than when I arrived.

I don't know what it is you're doing, but it must be some kind of hypnosis.

My arms feel like menthol...

It's strange because menthol is usually something you can taste, but I can feel it.

Christian

It's really strange, it feels like my spine is being pulled in by a magnet and I'm being straightened.

Anita

I just wanted to say thank you so much for the wonderful treatment you gave me on Wednesday.

I was impressed with how accurately you spotted my imbalances.

I feel that my energy level has been lifted to a higher level since I've been with you.

I am very grateful for what you gave.
